Kumkum Bhagya: Zee TV Serial

       Produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Sameer Kulkarni, the Indian television soap opera Kumkum Bhagya broadcasts on Zee TV every night from Monday to Friday. The title of the show starts with the letter ‘K’, which the producer finds to be lucky for her. The content of the show is loosely inspired by the novel “Sense and Sensibility” by Jane Austen. Since its first launch in April 2014, Kumkum Bhagya has been gaining a lot of popularity in India. Revolving around two families, the show represents a mix of family drama, love, romance, conspiracy and hatred. It’s increasingly lauded by male and female audience alike. The show targets family audience and young TV serial fanatics.

Abhi and Pragya: Kumkum Bhagya

       Abhi and Pragya are playing the leading pair of the show. While Tanu, Abhi’s on screen ex-girlfriend is a greedy, selfish, sly and cunning girl. She just pretends to love Abhi, but wants his fame and wealth he has earned as a rock star. Kumkum Bhagya is more of family-based serial. It’s actually a love story between Abhi and Pragya, who struggle to find their love despite getting married with each other. Tanu, the spoiler conspires to separate Abhi and Pragya. She is pregnant with Nikhil, but claims to be the mother of Abhi’s child. Apart from just Tanu, the show has other actors too in the negative role, including Aalia (Abhi’s sister) and Nikhil (Tanu’s boy friend).

       The show promises to make audiences’ nights spicier and more entertaining. But, for the past couple of months, the Kumkum Bhagya story has been unnecessarily stretched by the makers. The story has long been revolving around Tanu’s pregnancy. Almost everyone in the show knows the mystery of Tanu’s pregnancy, but Abhi doesn’t. Pragya fails every time she tries to expose Tanu, and this has continued for a long time in the show.
